Course Description: This course is designed to deepen healthcare professionals' understanding of Jewish identity's diverse cultural, religious, and ethnic dimensions, recognizing Jews as a marginalized minority group. It aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to identify and combat antisemitism within healthcare settings, fostering an inclusive environment that respects the unique backgrounds and needs of Jewish professionals and patients.

 

After completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define and discuss the complex facets of Jewish identity and how these intersect with other minority statuses
  • utilize resources and tools to educate healthcare colleagues about Jewish cultural competence and antisemitism prevention
  • Identify subtle and overt antisemitic biases and stereotypes that may influence patient care and collegial interactions
