Nourishing Function Speaker Q&A
A live follow-up session with Ashley Dorado, BSDH, COM®, certBBM, CPNP
Friday, October 30, 2026 | 8:00 PM ET
You watched the training. Now bring the patients where nutrition and oral function are tangled together.
This live session takes the framework from Nourishing Function: Nutrition Through a Myofunctional Lens and puts it to work on real clinical questions submitted by the people in the room. Rather than reviewing the training content, we work at the application layer: how key nutritional factors and signs of deficiency show up in your patients, when feeding, nutritional, and functional signs call for additional evaluation or support, and how to bring the right providers into your myofunctional care.
Questions are collected in advance and grouped into topic domains so the session moves with purpose.
Prerequisite: Completion of Nourishing Function: Nutrition Through a Myofunctional Lens is expected before attending. This is an intermediate-level course and assumes working familiarity with orofacial myofunctional therapy principles.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Apply the nutrition-through-a-myofunctional-lens framework to clinician-submitted cases.
- Idenify key nutritional factors and common signs of deficiency to the oral and functional findings in clinician-submitted cases.
- Differentiate feeding, nutritional, and functional signs that can be monitored from those that call for additional evaluation or support.
- Troubleshoot barriers to incorporating interdisciplinary strategies into myofunctional care, including referral and collaboration with registered dietitians, pediatricians, dental providers, and ENT or sleep providers.
