COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Dr. Olmos will discuss how to separate treatment by rehabilitation vs palliative care, how functional breathing problems produce mechanical orthopedic conditions, when functional nasal breathing problems will affect treatment outcome, and how to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that is inclusive of orthopedic dysfunction of the TMJ and sleep. Types of appliances will also be discussed.

Dr. Steven Olmos was in private practice for more than 40 years, with the last 30 years devoted to research and treatment of craniofacial pain and sleep-related breathing disorders. In 2023, he made the decision to retire from clinical practice to focus on advancing the fields of pain and sleep through research and education.
He obtained his DDS from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and is Board Certified in both chronic pain and sleep breathing disorders by the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, and American Board of Craniofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Olmos is the founder of TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centres International, with over 65 licensed locations in seven countries dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of craniofacial pain and sleep disorders. He continues to lead the field by continually publishing papers and hosting courses on the connection between pain, airway, and sleep disorders.

This course is offered for 0.20 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate Level, Professional Area).
To receive ASHA CEUs this registration page must be submitted prior to the webinar. To watch a recording, log into your Kajabi portal, go to "The Myo Membership" > "May 2023" and the recording will be found under the training tab.
IMPORTANT: For continuing education credit the webinar must be completed in its entirety, either by attending live or watching the recording.
What happens if I cannot attend the live webinar?
The recording will be uploaded to The Myo Membership portal following the live webinar for all current members inside The Myo Membership.
How do I obtain continuing education credit?
Upon completion of the live or recorded webinar, a survey is sent electronically via Kajabi and email. You must complete the survey by clicking submit in order to receive your ASHA CEUs and a certificate of completion. The certificate of completion will be available for immediate download following submission of your ASHA CEU survey form. This must be completed within 7 days of completion of webinar.

What happens after I sign up?

If attending live, register at the provided zoom event link that will be sent out prior to the webinar event. If watching the recording you do not need to register via zoom. If you want ASHA CEUs you MUST COMPLETE this registration page (scroll to bottom and fill out the entire form).
Refund policy: Per the refund policy when you joined The Myo Membership, you can cancel your future monthly membership at any time prior to the 48-hour renewal window. You will not be refunded for any training or materials already provided. If you are unable to join live, you may watch the recording that will be placed in The Myo Membership portal.
