CONTINUING EDUCATION REGISTRATION PAGE

WEBINAR DATE: July,9 7:00- 9:00PM ET

(2 Hours, 0.20 ASHA CEUs)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Swallowing and speaking are primary oral functions and use the same mouth parts but have few commonalities. As a foundation for systematic analysis and myo-functional therapy, this course will detail and compare both the normal and abnormal swallow and speech production components. In addition, essential therapy elements will be demonstrated to address the frontal /s/, the lateral /s/, and the distorted /r/. The importance of the oral rest posture (ORP) will be shared as well as potential impeding cranio-facial-oral-respiratory (CFOR) obstacles.

PRESENTER: Char Boshart, M.A., CCC-SLP

Char Boshart, M.A., CCC-SLP is a therapist, seminar presenter, president of Speech Dynamics, and a published author of several practical books, including Swalloworks Therapy Program, The Myofunctional Evaluation, The Key to Carryover, Demystify the Tongue Tie, and The Easy R. In addition, she has several CEU videos through SpeechTherapypd.com, is host of the Speech Link podcast, and writes an idea-oriented blog called Therapy Matters. Char has presented hundreds of well-received seminars. Her passion, however, is doing therapy and talking about it.
