"Treatment Planning: Taking it to the Next Level"

CONTINUING EDUCATION REGISTRATION PAGE

WEBINAR DATE: December 6, 2023 7:00- 9:00PM ET

(2 Hours, 0.20 ASHA CEUs)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

An important part of a comprehensive Orofacial Myofunctional Assessment is developing an appropriate treatment plan. This requires skillfully synthesizing the findings from the evaluation, consideration of the patient’s personal goals and how that can be integrated with therapeutic goals and objectives. Furthermore, a treatment framework needs to be created such that appropriate referrals are prioritized, areas of dysfunction are targeted in a hierarchical manner, interventions are properly sequenced, and therapeutic exercises are modified or advanced as indicated. In this interactive course, participants will sharpen their critical thinking skills by performing a detailed analysis of findings from an adult case study and synthesizing that information to create a customized treatment plan. Participants are invited to participate in a group discussion regarding specific goals to be addressed in therapy, as well as referrals and recommendations to be made. A conversation will follow regarding referral timelines, prioritization of goals of care, and brainstorming exercises to help achieve desired goals.
