Non-surgical approaches to sleep disordered breathing

CONTINUING EDUCATION REGISTRATION PAGE

ORIGINAL WEBINAR DATE: April 12th, 2022 7:00PM-9:00PM EST

(2 Hours 0.20 ASHA CEUs; 2.0 AOTA CEUs PENDING)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Sleep disordered breathing is a serious medical condition in both children and adults since it adversely affects the upper airway, breathing and sleep. Oral appliance and myofunctional therapies are used to correct the nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal regions of the upper airway through midfacial redevelopment to improve the upper airway, breathing and sleep in both children and adults. Studies have indicated that correction of sleep related breathing disorders is possible using this non-surgical approach; however, these protocols require further investigation and will be discussed in this presentation
