AirwayCentric Dentistry - Birth to Death
CONTINUING EDUCATION REGISTRATION PAGE
WEBINAR DATE: March 13th, 2023 7:00PM-9:00PM EST
(2 Hours, 0.20 ASHA CEUs)
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Airway issues can start at birth and progress throughout the lifecycle. Children may develop prefrontal cortex issues as a result of mouth breathing, snoring and sleep apnea. These changes are often reversible and best treated before age 5-6. 25% of children and 50% of adults have airway related disorders and the number is growing. Unfortunately, only 15% of these patients have been diagnosed.
Cardiovascular, stroke and diabetes prevention programs should include an airway and oral systemic component . The same holds true form cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s prevention programs.
Dr Gelb will discuss the AirwayCentric approach to health and wellness as well as what dentists and other collaborative healthcare providers can do in your home town to recognize and manage an array of disorders. These presenting problems or complaints are usually reversible and require collaborative and multidisciplinary care.
