COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

The Myo Munchee is more than a chewing tool, it is a functional support for muscle balance, airway awareness, and habit change. This interactive two hour course breaks down the why, when, and how of using the Myo Munchee in myofunctional therapy. Attendees will leave with practical protocols, patient friendly language, and clear guidance on how to use the Munchee responsibly and effectively as part of a comprehensive therapy plan.
 
 

PRESENTER:Angela Richwine RDH, BASc, COM®, QOM®

Angela Richwine is a highly respected clinician, educator, and international speaker in the field of airway health and orofacial myofunctional therapy. With nearly 30 years in dentistry, she brings a rare blend of professional expertise and deeply personal insight, having overcome her own childhood myofunctional disorders. Angela began her career as an orthodontic assistant before earning her degree in dental hygiene and later completing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Business. Her introduction to myofunctional disorders early in her career sparked what would become her lifelong passion for helping patients, families, and providers recognize the connection between oral function, craniofacial development, posture, and overall health.

She has completed extensive advanced orofacial myofunctional training through the IAOM, Neo-Health, Myo Mentor, The Breathe Institute, and multiple specialty programs. She is a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®), a Qualified Orofacial Myologist (QOM®), and holds additional certifications and certificates in the Buteyko Breathing Method, Face Yoga, Gua Sha, and Gillespie Craniosacral Fascial Therapy.

Angela is the founder of Central Virginia OMT LLC, where she offers in-office and virtual therapy, collaborating with dental and medical professionals across the world to provide comprehensive, whole-person care. She previously served as Director of Operations for Airway Circle, where she helped advance education, community building, and interdisciplinary connection in the airway and myofunctional therapy space.

As a speaker, Angela is known for her warm communication style, practical clinical pearls, and ability to translate complex concepts into real-life applications for dental teams. She is passionate about empowering dental hygienists and other dental professionals to recognize early signs of dysfunction, understand when and where to refer, and elevate the standard of airway-aware clinical care.

After completion of course participants will be able to: 

  • Identify appropriate indications and precautions for Myo Munchee use

  • Explain the neuromuscular mechanisms supporting its clinical application

  • Analyze patient specific factors to select the appropriate Munchee type

  • Integrate the Myo Munchee into structured therapy plans and patient education

This course is offered for 0.20 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate Level, Professional Area). 

To be reported to the ASHA CE registry,  this registration page must be submitted prior to the webinar. To watch a recording, log into your Kajabi portal, go to "The Myo Membership" > "May 2026" and the recording will be found under the training tab.

IMPORTANT: For continuing education credit the webinar must be completed in its entirety, either by attending live or watching the recording. 

What happens if I cannot attend the live webinar? 

The recording will be uploaded to The Myo Membership portal following the live webinar for all current members inside The Myo Membership.

How do I obtain continuing education credit?

Upon completion of the live or recorded webinar, a survey and quiz is sent electronically via Kajabi and email. You must complete the survey and quiz by clicking submit in order to be reported to the ASHA CE registry and a certificate of completion. You must also complete the short quiz.  The certificate of completion will be available for immediate download following submission of your ASHA CEU survey form. This must be completed within 7 days of completion of webinar.

Who is this for? 

This registration page is for SLPs who want to learn more about airway, myofunctional therapy, tethered oral tissues, dental appliances/orthodontics and related topics.

What happens after I sign up?

You are already signed up for The Myo Membership® and have paid in full for this month (which includes this training). If attending live, register at the provided zoom event link that will be sent out prior to the webinar event. If watching the recording you do not need to register via zoom. If you want to be reported to the ASHA CE REGISTRY you MUST COMPLETE this registration page (scroll to bottom and fill out the entire form).

Refund policy: Per the refund policy when you joined The Myo Membership, you can cancel your future monthly membership at any time prior to the 48-hour renewal window. You will not be refunded for any training or materials already provided. If you are unable to join live, you may watch the recording that will be placed in The Myo Membership portal.

If this webinar needs to be rescheduled you will be notified as soon as possible with the new webinar date (no refunds are provided if a webinar date has to be moved by a presenter; a replacement webinar will be provided in the event that this months presenter is unable to present as scheduled).
