COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Explore the practical aspects involved with participating in breathing and sleep optimization with an "airway-collaborative" ENT.

PRESENTERS: Christopher Tran, MD

 

Dr. Christopher M. Tran is a Southern California native who achieved a degree in Psychology at the University of Southern California, followed by a medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville. He then completed his otolaryngology (ENT) residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. He lives in Houston Texas, where he likes to spend time exploring and dining with his wife and son.Dr. Tran has a comprehensive ENT practice with particular interests in breathing-related surgery, in-office procedures, and tethered oral tissues. He enjoys collaborating with local healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and has a strong passion for educating and empowering students and patients.

LEARNING OUTCOMES 

After completion of course participants will be able to: 

  • Identify clinical signs and symptoms of airway dysfunction and tethered oral tissues.
  • Analyze screening tools to effectively obtain relevant clinical information from patients
  • Describe optimal ways to communicate clinical information to surgical providers.
  • Formulate reports that effectively relay salient clinical data that surgical providers can utilize in co-managing airway patients managing airway patients.
  • Compare and/or integrate practice communication protocols to optimize collaboration

This course is offered for 0.20 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate Level, Professional Area). 

How do I obtain continuing education credit?

To receive ASHA CEUs you must:

1. Register prior to watching the webinar.

2. Watch the entire recorded webinar.

3. Complete the survey within 7 days of watching the webinar. Once completed you will get immediate access to the CEU form which must also be completed within the 7 day window.

4. Complete your CEU form. NOTE: This is due within 7 days of watching the recorded webinar. 

5. Once the CEU form is completed you will have access to download your certificate of completion. PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to maintain your certificate of completion. Future requests for certificates will incur an administrative fee of $10 per form.

How do I access the recorded webinar?

After signing up for the webinar you will be given access. To watch the recording, log into your Kajabi portal, go to "The Myo Membership" > "January 2022" and the recording will be found under the training tab.

Who is this for? 

This registration page is for SLPs who want to better understand airway and breathing patterns so they understand when to refer out or how to adapt a patients treatment plan to accommodate airway diagnoses.

What is the refund policy?
