Whether you’re a Speech-Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist dreaming of becoming a Pediatric Feeding Therapist...

Feed The Peds® has all the in-depth  trainings, assessment activities, and mentorship you need to grow your skill set (and patient roster), become a confident, competent Pediatric Feeding Therapist and help the children who need you most!

After all, isn’t that why you chose this path in the first place?

You WANT to make a positive impact in the lives of children who are developing differently than most, right?

And your stellar track-record as a clinician PROVES that you’re more than capable of that goal, doesn't it?

You KNOW that you are on this planet to do amazing things and whether you’re working in schools, hospitals, home-based private practice or anywhere else, you’re changing lives DAILY.

But when you were faced with a patient who has feeding issues, you'd freeze.

“What if something goes wrong and they choke?
“What if I accidentally trigger a feeding aversion?
“What if this is just beyond the education I have?”

Factor in the fear of working with children under 3 years old and most people are ready to book their patients a one-way ticket to Referral City.

Good-bye, patient!

Good-bye, family!

Good-bye, impact!

And good-bye new opportunity!

Ugh. I hate to see it, but I totally get it.

No one taught you pediatric feeding.

Nearly everything you learned about feeding and swallowing in graduate school has prepped you to work with adult patients, but pediatrics are a whooole ‘nother story!

I felt the same way.

And even when I did go to training seminars and multi-day workshops for pediatric feeding and swallowing therapists, hardly anyone was talking about patients under pre-school age.

You’ve probably experienced the same thing, right?

Just finding the information needed to help your youngest and most vulnerable patients can be hard enough before you even get to the idea of putting together a treatment plan and feel confident in your skills, assessment, and treatment.

Here's what past Feed The Peds® students have to say!

I'M READY! LET'S DO THIS!

Imagine if taking on pediatric feeding and swallowing cases was easy?

Wouldn’t it be great if…

You knew exactly what to look for during assessments with these patients?

You felt confident to create realistic goals and make progress toward them?

You became the go-to expert that others referred patients to?

You grew your client list and helped even more children and families thrive?

You stopped leaving money on the table and hit a new income bracket too?

Well, now you can!

(And you can even learn how while relaxing at home in your favorite sweatpants.)

All you need is Feed the Peds®:

The Foundations of Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing!

A comprehensive 12-week course to becoming a Pediatric Feeding Therapist.

We’ll be focusing on the foundational development of children from birth through 3 years old, but this training will apply to older patients too! Sounds great, right?

I'M READY, LET'S DO THIS!

As you probably already know, for years, the only way to gain comprehensive supplemental education and specialize in early pediatric feeding cases was to travel around the country taking training after training…

...and then you had to try to piece all that information together yourself.

To be fair to the amazing therapists running these sessions, they were packed with valuable information and worth the cost of entry -- but attending these workshops came at a greater price.

Plane tickets, rental cars, hotel rooms, meals on the road, and more ALL add up; sometimes costing more than the workshop.

(And that’s not factoring in the extra expenses of being away from your family like child and pet care OR that you’re losing money by taking time off of working with patients. These can add up - fast!)

But with Feed The Peds®, I’m on a mission to change all that.

Hi, I’m Hallie Bulkin...

Years ago, I was an SLP traveling from school to school and silently freaking out every time I heard the words, “This student has trouble swallowing…”

*Gulp.*

Grad school hadn’t prepared me for the unique challenges and requirements of working with a pediatric population, so every year, I saved up and spent hundreds (sometimes thousands) going to conferences and multi-day workshops.

Like you, I wanted to serve my patients at the highest level and stop resorting to referring them out every time I felt overwhelmed…

And all told, it cost me tens of thousands of dollars spent over a decade to feel confident in calling myself a Pediatric Feeding Therapist.

TAKE ME TO FEED THE PEDS®!

Hi, I’m Hallie Bulkin

Take Me To The Course!

And the biggest thing I learned?

There just aren’t enough Pediatric Feeding Therapists to help the children in need today.

Since then, I’ve felt a calling to help people like you, SLPs and OTs with a desire to work with pediatric feeding and swallowing cases.

I loved helping children and their families with feeding and swallowing issues get results but when I realized that there just aren’t enough Pediatric Feeding Therapists to help all the children in need today I knew I had to do more than just treat patients to help.

So, I created Feed The Peds® and the ELEVATION Movement mentoring SLPs and OTs so they can develop the identity and skill set they need to stop dreaming and become confident & competent Pediatric Feeding Therapists in just 12 weeks. And that means more children can get the treatment they need.

And with a first-of-its-kind approach to mentoring, self-development, and digital hands-on learning -- Feed The Peds® is turning our industry on its head.

It takes more than just additional education to become a Pediatric Feeding Therapist.

A lot of SLPs and OTs think that if they just had another course or the “right” course they could treat feeding patients.

But so many of these therapists took courses and still dreamed of being confident calling themselves a Pediatric Feeding Therapist.

That’s why I created The ELEVATION Movement, which you’ll experience in action inside Feed the Peds®.

The ELEVATION Movement is about bringing you a comprehensive approach to developing everything you need to stop dreaming and actually become a pediatric feeding therapist.

On my mission to help more children, I realized that there are three elements that are essential to take someone from SLP or OT to a confident and competent feeding therapist… mentorship, identity and skill set.

Placeholder Image

Look, If you’re like most of the SLPs and OTs I work with the biggest thing holding you back from your dream is your identity.

Until you have the identity of a Pediatric Feeding Therapist you'll continue to lack the confidence that allows you to easily learn what you need to know to confidently approach, assess and treat children.

Confidence comes from competence, so developing your skill set if vital to becoming the person who treats instead of the person who dreams of treating while writing another referral.

And mentorship is critical during your journey because you gain the feedback to need to know you are applying your knowledge correctly. Guidance and mentorship are catalysis for change.

Nothing is better than knowing that you have people who have your back and support your growth.

Sooner or later, you’ll find that without all three elements you’ll continue to stay stuck not knowing how to treat, not owning that you are the person who can help feeding patients and waiting for permission to call yourself a Pediatric Feeding Therapist.

You live by your commitment to do no harm…

...however, you’re doing your patients a disservice if you let this hold you back from becoming the best therapist you can be.

Have you fully considered that referring patients to far away specialists in big cities with wait lists is increasing the anxiety that family feels about their child’s condition… (even a local referral could be causing a family anxiety)

... and that when you choose to invest just 12 weeks in upgrading your skill set, adopting a new identity and embracing the mentorship in Feed The Peds® you can help those families avoid all that anxiety and get the help they require right away?

Just imagine being “the confident and competent therapist” a family needs; that’d be great, right?

And this is just one example of how Feed The Peds® and The ELEVATION Movement can help you make a bigger impact, keep your client roster filled and make more money for your own family.

When I set out to create the ultimate Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing Therapy course, I didn’t do it alone…

As a new grad with a passion for pediatric feeding and swallowing, I knew I wanted to continue my education in this area. Throughout grad school and my internships I learned several little important pieces in the pediatric feeding world, but this course gave me the comprehensive knowledge from utero and beyond I needed to be successful and knowledgeable in this area! This course has given me so many phenomenal resources, materials, mentorship, and great researched-based information. While this course was extremely dense, it was easy to work through with being able to do the videos on your own time (being able to start and stop when needed), and to have your questions answered when you didn’t totally understand something! I feel more confident in my feeding knowledge and abilities! As a new grad almost done with my CFY, I know I have the resources to continue to soar in my pediatric feeding therapist goals! Let me tell you, I’d take several more courses by these amazing, caring, knowledgeable SLP’s and OT’s! I’d highly recommend this course to anyone looking to become a pediatric feeding therapist or to continue your education in the pediatric feeding and swallowing area!

For an aspiring feeding therapy practitioner...

This 12-week course is designed for you if you're an SLP or OT dreaming of working with pediatric feeding and swallowing patients with a focus on the foundations of early development.

(And to be very honest, it is NOT designed for anyone else.)

HEY, THAT'S ME! LET'S DO THIS THING!
I am not sure if I have the time?

What you’re really saying is that you’re not sure you’re ready to step up and become confident and competent in your skills as a pediatric feeding therapist.

We make time for what we value and the fact that you’re here means a part of you already knows that becoming a pediatric feeding therapist will add value to your life and the lives of the patients you treat.

How long do you want to wait before you decide to help the patients that need you most?

You already know that at some point you’ll have to get your continuing education credits so it’s really just a matter of what course you’re going to take and which enrollment period is right for you.

I totally understand that you have a busy life, and that’s ok. Part of the reason that I created Feed The Peds® as an online course was because I know what it means to be busy.

Feed The Peds® is the only course of its kind where you don’t have to give up travel time and take days off to complete the trainings. As an online course with videos and replays of the live case study reviews, you can watch and implement the material at your own pace.

That means you can binge watch netflix style or watch and learn during the breaks in your day as you have time.

And, unlike a live seminar, you get access to the material for life.

Feed The Peds® Is An Investment In Yourself.

Have you ever purchased something that changed your life and allowed you to increase your skill set and confidence so you could better serve your patients before?

Your graduate degree perhaps. ;)

I get it, Feed The Peds® is a serious investment in yourself because it’s only for SLPs and OTs who are serious about making a bigger impact in the world.

This course was more than I had hoped! I have been out of grad school for too long to mention. I felt like I was starting from scratch. I learned so much more about early development. I didn't even receive this much information in my courses in grad school. I had no experience in identifying tethered oral tissues. I now feel fully confident in assessment and how to refer if I feel it is needed. Not to mention the importance of pre and post op care. I have gained knowledge and confidence in talking to parents about what I see in their child's feeding development, skills and treatment. I am more knowledgeable regarding orofacial myology and the effect on feeding and speech. I am even considering certification! I just can't say enough about this course. So much is included- Live Q&A, case studies, forms, resources, research. I love the fact that I can go at my own pace and come back to the trainings when needed. Worth every penny!

Michelle Hendrick, MS, CCC-SLP

This course is comprehensive, so you don’t have to piece together a strategy to implement what you’ve learned into your business.

You get the assessment forms, screeners, intake forms and more so that you can immediately focus on treating patients and not let administrative tasks like  creating documents hold you back.

And if making a bigger impact in the lives of children and their families isn’t already enough, then consider that as a Pediatric Feeding Therapist you’ll be able to charge more for your services, attract more patients, and refer out less patients, making your investment back quickly with a great rate of return over the course of your career.

Ask yourself; Where will I be 12 months from now if I don’t invest a bit of time and money into Pediatric Feeding Therapist training now?

You might think that 12 months from now you’ll be in the same place you are today, but that’s not true...

You’ll be 12 months further behind with your confidence and skills, with a reputation of referring patients out instead of being able to treat them and you might find yourself developing an ever growing longing to have more impact and even more stories about how you don’t know enough and aren’t competent enough, yet.

And where will your patients be? Sitting on waiting lists for some other therapist, traveling long distances for treatment and worried about their ability to get the help they need?

And let’s not forget that even with the best intentions, sometimes a referral makes parents more stressed and worried about what’s happening with their children.

Or ...

12 months from now you could have completed this course, and spent 9 months serving the patients that need you most, and started to build a reputation as the therapist who is highly competent and that patients and other professionals refer to.

So you can choose to say in doubt or you can decide to step up, get this career changing training and have a bigger impact on the patients who need you most.

As a 20+ year veteran in the field of Speech Language Pathology, I am moving from mostly school-based services to private practice. I felt that refreshing my skills in infant feeding evaluation and therapy would be important for this new venture. I am so thankful that Hallie popped up in my Facebook feed. After doing the screener training and the first few weeks of the "Feed the Peds" class, I was able to utilize some skills that supported the kids and families I already had on my caseload. I was able to discuss physical supports, straw vs. sippy cup, and child-lead feeding progression. It has also opened my eyes to see how all of a child's systems are connected and how the airway is the center and the most important. This training is so packed with information, I am thankful I will be able to access it for reference forever!

Megan C. Mauch, MS, CCC-SLP

“Hallie provides informative and interactive trainings in a relaxed and welcoming environment. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her trainings, and incorporates videos and examples of real-life clients. She provides step-by-step processes for evaluation and treatment, as well as relevant handouts for reference. I highly recommend her trainings to anyone who is looking to gain confidence in treating feeding or orofacial myofunctional disorders.”

Lauren Polovoy, MA, CCC-SLP

Allison gained the confidence to call herself a pediatric feeding therapist!

Kathleen, a new grad is implementing what she learned in her CF year!

Ginny shares how learning about TOTs and Myo is a game changer; "all the kids I couldn't make as much progress with all had Myo or TOTs issues."

Jennifer feels more confident. She loved testing her knowledge in the case studies and having the Zoom sessions afterward to ask questions and get clarity.

Feed the Peds has been amazing for me as a practicing Pediatric Early Intervention OT, who was always careful to advise parents that I could work on sensory processing difficulties and fine motor skills for mealtimes, but could not provide feeding therapy. I have found the training to be very comprehensive overall, and I LOVE the fact that I have lifetime access and can revisit any or all of the training information at any time as I start working as a feeding therapist. Unlike with a live course, I feel that I really benefit from being able to go back and review something I needed to think about, or didn't absorb the first time through. I love that I can now jump into working as a feeding therapist, with tools at my fingertips from Feed the Peds like screeners, assessment forms, intake forms and other resources. I have found Hallie and the other mentors to be so responsive and eager to use their experience to help, and that gives a real confidence boost!

I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed this course! I got my “Advanced Certification in Pediatric Dysphagia” and after going through 3 semesters of school and paying 18 credits worth of tuition, I still felt like I didn’t know where to start or what to do when it came to treatment. After completing the Feed the Peds course and having a wonderful mentor to help guide me along the way, I truly feel like a “feeding therapist” and can confidently go out and assess and treat my pediatric dysphagia students and educate my fellow co-workers and parents in this area. I loved how interactive this course was and I feel like I can apply everything I learned to my population of students. Also thank you to everyone for being so caring and supportive during our case studies calls. It was nice feeling comfortable asking any questions and not have to worry if it was a stupid question to ask or if it was something that a feeding therapist should already know. Thank you again for your time, kindness, and sharing all your knowledge with us and for making me feel confident as a pediatric feeding therapist. It was so greatly appreciated!

Feed the Peds has been the best decision. During my CF, I had a caseload of patients with feeding and swallowing disorders and little knowledge in how to effectively treat them. My hope for joining FTP was to increase my toolbox of therapy ideas and treatment techniques for this population, which I learned plus so much more. The FTP team provided us with so many useful handouts, assessment and screening tools, etc. that I will be able to use throughout my career. The clinicians were all wonderful teachers who generously provided all of their expertise when working with this population. I feel better equipped, confident, and competent to assess and treat the pediatric feeding population. I would recommend this to anyone interested!

It is hands down a must take course that will change your life and practice! You will not regret enrolling!

I had very high expectations for this course, but it far exceeded my expectations. Ramya, Caitlin and Hallie are amazing speakers. The modules each week were FULL of new information. I am eager to go back and start studying my amazing notebook for ALL of this information to solidify in my brain and allow me to effectively use it in my treatment sessions. LOVED the course. Thank you to Feed the Peds for offering it!!

On whether ALL of your questions get answered (yes, they do!)...

Thank you so much for this life-changing course! I was really reluctant to spend the money and I didn't know if it would work for me, but I absolutely feel like I have the tools I need to call myself a feeding therapist now. I couldn't be happier that I decided to take this course.

Rachael Dalto

I have been working as a pediatric feeding therapist for 5 years with no formal training other than what I was able to get from my colleagues. This course helped me gain a deeper foundation for some of the things I already knew, and also built my confidence in the area of treatment! Invaluable course for any pediatric feeding therapist.

Kimberly Wand

Excellent course with fabulous presenters! Would recommend to anyone looking to start learning about feeding as well as for professionals with some feeding experience looking to grow their knowledge.

Sondra Mehl

This course is AMAZING! The more you know, the more you realize you don't know couldn't be more true. I enjoyed this course and can't wait to learn more about feeding. Great structure and flow. Also very appreciative that I was able to self pace a little when life got crazy! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Just one more thing…

If you’re still deciding that Feed The Peds® is right for you, try to imagine how much this course can help you make a bigger impact on the lives of the children you treat… and their families.

I know exactly how intimidating it can be to consider stepping up in your specialty and working with pediatric populations -- but I also know how rewarding it can be.

Imagine being able to spare children from the fate of feeding tubes and providing the possibility for countless happy and healthy family dinners. I have the absolute privilege of knowing that I’m making a difference every day, and you can, too.

A part of you feels a calling toward this work, otherwise, you wouldn’t be reading this and deciding if enrolling in Feed The Peds® is right for you.

You may or may not know this, but right now there simply aren’t enough Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Therapists to fill the growing need of children in this county and in the world.

It would mean the world to those children who need you (and to me) for you to join us on this journey to providing the best possible outcomes for their development.

If there are any questions that weren’t answered on this page or if you’re still on the fence about whether signing up now if right for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to support@feedthepeds.com for extra guidance.

You’ll be glad you decided to step up and help children in your community.

That’s my promise to you.
