TIME ORDERED AGENDA & LEARNING OBJECTIVES
0-90 minutes: The participants will learn to use systematic Feeding assessment Profiles Basic Ingredients: Defining PFD: The foundations of a feeding-swallowing skills development, brief review of FTP screening, assessment, and developments checklists of the domains of feeding, case histories, examples of assessments, treatment planning, making referrals, references
90-180 minutes: Stir it up! Participate in Creating a functional Feeding Plan: Supporting family-oriented feeding routines using enhanced vocabulary, concepts and visual scripts, video feedback, case studies.
180-270 minutes: Roll it out! Attendees will learn food-based therapy techniques Kitchen based treatment: food variety expansion, child-centered food preparation, examples using oral sensory-based icons, examples of Food Comfort Scales, food modification and sensory oral skill building, family home programs, demo videos, case examples.
270-360 minutes: Serve it up! Provide feeding therapy techniques and family-centered strategies to support sensory oral-motor skills and expand food variety acceptance, building food texture and variety food comfort with children and families, Food Comfort Scale, taking data, Re-Assessment methods, patients examples, video case studies.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
After completion of course participants will be able to:

Learn to use systematic Feeding Profiles and Check-Lists of red flags in feeding abilities “from lips to hips”, feeding skills and mealtime behaviors to assist them in assessing children with Pediatric Feeding Disorders (PFD)
- Recognize 4 or more common barriers to effective eating that children who have feeding disturbances and their families struggle with in order to guide the professional in building comprehensive and effective feeding-nutrition therapy treatment programs.
- Identify 6 food-based therapy techniques and family-centered strategies to support sensory oral-motor skills and expand food variety acceptance.
